The start of a conversation

It’s been a crazy day, dark but warm and then a blast of showers. Anyone get drenched? I ventured into Clapham at lunch time, with all but a parka. Not exactly showerproof and no brollie.

Anyhoo, I was in a store and a random stranger sparked up a conversation, about what music is appropriate to play in a motor bike store – yes, I was doing a quick shop for hubby. And yes, I found it bizarre. I mean I spend hours trawling the web and chatting to strangers all day long, being social and all that. BUT it’s virtually. So, it brings me back to wandering, could social media be the start to many more conversations offline? Conversations with strangers? Conversations in public with like minded people or those with similar interests to you?

This video is a great example of the link between an online conversation going offline. Just one tweet. Love it.

Have you started a conversation offline lately, with someone you did not know? Been to a tweetup recently?
