Social Savvy Sundays with Tam – How to measure your return on investment
Are you still fiddling about and not sure why you need to do social media? Are you investing the time and not sure what you’re getting out of your social media efforts?
Would you like to feel capable and calm this week because you know what you’re getting from it Superstar …. finally, what a sigh of relief right?
Some frequently asked questions we get at TJHQ is, how long should I do all this social media for and I don’t really know what I have to gain from it.
Ok, here it is…
Social media integrated with all of your other marketing activities will -
5. Nurture your existing relationships. Strong relationships build brand ambassadors for your business.
4. Keep your name, your business in front of people. A constant reminder that you’re there for them when they need you.
3. Generate traffic back to your website. This is where you want the crowds, seeing what you have to offer, more about you and the business. This is your virtual shop window.
2. Generate leads. You join, start and keep a conversation going, be real, be personable and follow up on these leads and close that deal.
1. Sign ups for your list. If you have something exciting to offer, you’re as good as you say you are (better yet your clients say you are) they will sign up and YOU know your list is the real gem of your business. Get them to your list through sharing your great offer on social networks.
This is why you should invest the time on your social media efforts and be consistent. Great relationships take time, so does social media.
The sparkling gems you need to stop the flaky. Don’t just read it, try and use the tools and work them into your own goals, perhaps from the examples. I would love to know how you get on. Send me a message here.
Measuring Tools – clicks, impressions, web traffic:

Local is good for business
Back in the good old days, you bought meat from the local butcher, your iceberg lettuce from the grocer, aunty Mildred baked fresh bread at the local bakery and you only used the washing powder your mother recommended, afterall she always knew best.
So, what changed? Well, companies became large corporations and the world became smaller. More people worked for the large companies and small local businesses found it difficult to survive in the high street, next to the large chains.
Now what? Social Media came along…
Social networks now allow for billions of global relationships to be nurtured, through sharing. No more is it about what the big corporates are telling us to buy or what is good for us. On social networks we get to tell eachother, share experiences, review products.
I don’t know about all of you, but what I do know, is that I much prefer to listen to the people I know about what is good out there from their shared experience, that what some billboard is enticing me with.
Google+ Local makes it easy to share your opinions and photos as expressively as you can in real life. Now we’re talking.
