Day 7: A slip or a trip?
A 4am start and a very busy day, messed the routine up completely. Someone said variety is the spice of life…. so a little variation on day 7, can’t be all bad right?
Breakie of a shake and popped some supplements, by 10am . I sipped tea and water all day today, knowing that I was going to need to stay hydrated to stave off any snacking.
I managed well, eventhough I only had lunch at 2pm. I settled for a shake today for lunch. Perfect, considering a busy day like today, I probably would of skipped a meal here.
Tomorrow is D Day – filming day. This evening I must put the energy to good use and make sure I know my stuff.
Dinner was a very filling, pita bread with loaded salad and some chips – skipped the protein altogether. And finished off with vino.
Slip or a trip, or not too bad at all? All I know is I feel great, it’s been a long day and the adrenalin is high for tomorrow.
Catch up soon.
Day 6: a hint of disappointment
After the excitement last night for this morning, I was rather disappointed not to have shed any weight. However, the centimetres were a different story.
A big benefit of the centimetres falling off my waist, is my outfit for Tuesday’s filming, has well, a cinched waistline. This is a BIG plus!
Ok, motivation escalated a little again and the rest of the day, has been easy.
Still wandering how good a glass of vino would of been with lunch
Lunch today, some salad and brown spaghetti with a soy and honey dressing. Yum.
Tonight’s shake is one of slow sipping, I ran out of sparkling water and settled for skimmed milk – lets pretend it’s desert.
And tomorrow it’s a week already!
Day 5: It’s the week end…
Well, who knew a Saturday could be so easy on a cleanse. Almost not. I cannot say that I didn’t miss my glass of vino this evening.
It really is easy having 2 shakes and a meal. For me it definitely is working, by switching the meal to lunch time. I am not hungry in the eve and the herbal teas are comfort enough.
Today’s meal: more salmon and salad and 2 cream crackers.
Some skimmed milk with my shake this morning, did not go down as well as, the sparkling water for me. Stuck with the bubbles for dins, a much better idea.
Tomorrow is weigh in and measure. What will the numbers say?
Day 4: A compliment already!
I woke ready to take on the day! It’s a busy one today, so hope I remember all the tabs, shake etc.
My decision to wear something different paid off – something I have not worn in ages and hubby greeted me with a “hello skinny”. It can only be a good day.
Today’s menu includes breakfast shake, lunch shake and evening 600cal dinner. I have decided to swop lunch and dinner.
No tired feeling at 4 today. Perhaps the lunch as a meal, did the trick or the detox has taken full effect? A meal – salmon fillet with butternut and beetroot salad. Delish.
Finishing off with a shake for dinner, aloe and keeping on with lots of water. Still sipping the shake, seriously not hungry and it’s surprisingly filling.
I’m on it now and compliment on Day 4 means the confidence to get to Day 9 is super high.
Day 3: I’ve got that glow
Trust me this is working! Apart from my regular trips to the ladies, today was weigh in and measure day.
I woke up, feeling a little better than usual – could this be the excitement for a meal this eve? Perhaps.
My skin is looking a little better too. Two plus points by 7am, lets see what they scales say.
1.6kg’s lighter (x2.2 for lbs) and the measuring tape confirms some centimetres have gone too.
If that’s not motivating, I don’t know what is. 2 shakes and a meal allowed today, so this surely guaranteed that I won’t go hungry.
Dinner was a home-made burger with salad and 1 Tbl tomato sauce. The best part was being able to eat with my guys around the table, a lot better than sitting there with a glass of water.
Tips:
Herbal teas help with adding some variety to the day.
Sparkling water mixed with the shake, has become a favourite.
The hard part is definitely over.
Day 2: Detox 101- don’t cook.
Day 2 has been great. Clean 9 – more tabs, a shake, aloe and water.
I woke with a massive thirst – which helps with the consumption of a lot of water.
The detox and fluid consumption (the shake and water) reminded me of a time long ago, when for 9 months, I had frequented the ladies every 2 minutes. It must be working already, flushing away the toxins and getting my glow back.
I have also noticed my skin is a lot more hydrated and I do drink a lot of water day to day, so it’s definitely boosted the effects.
Ok, so a teensy little slip… making meals today, has meant I have had a taste of 3.
We carry again on tomorrow
The 9 Day cleanse and detox
It’s been quite the year. One new year’s resolution, one mission and the journey continues.
The year started with a strict eating plan…heard of Dr Dukan? Well, followed it, succeeded, but seriously missed fruit and veg. 6 months, only two breaks later, and I have lost over 20lbs.
So, why the 9 day cleanse and detox?
Motivation: A film shoot in 7 days. (yes, I am shy 2 days)
Choice of product: natural, affordable, accessible (Forever Living Clean 9) and great support.
Research: High juice detox programs last 3-5 days and pump my already sugar starved, craved body with, you guessed it, sugar. They charge anything from £150 per 3 days too a couple of hundred more, for similar results.
Day 1: The plan includes, tabs, shake, aloe vera, no food. Motivation is high, we can do this, it’s the first day.
I woke up weighing and measuring and recording my goals and figures. Then happily had my Clean 9 breakie. Helped by the fact that I was focussed on getting to a meeting on time. Looking at it this way, I didn’t miss breakfast this morning
After a fabulous, successful round of meetings, I did think to pop to shop for some celebratory bubbles, then it hit me. ‘snack time’ a dose of more tabs and lots of water. By noon I had noticed that I had energy, no hunger pains and actually struggled to sip through my shaker of ‘lunch’
4pm has come and gone – slight sense of lethargy (probably no different to any other fast paced day though) and still not hungry either. This is usually ‘raid the fridge for a snack’ time. A check in from the lovely Josephine, on my progress and we’re doing good.
‘Dinner’ – shots of Aloe, some tabs a green tea and more water.
And here I am, I made it, still standing, no giddiness, no hunger pains, no cravings.
I can so do this.
